Cinnamon Caramel Rolls at Home

Yield: 4 Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • For the caramel sauce:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Prepare the Caramel Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the granulated sugar, stirring constantly until it becomes a golden caramel color. Carefully add the butter and heavy cream to the caramelized sugar, stirring continuously until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

  3. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.

  4. Assemble the Rolls:

  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles along the perforated lines.

  6. Brush each rectangle with the prepared filling mixture.

  7. Starting from the longer side, tightly roll up each rectangle into a log.

  8. Cut each log into 4 equal-sized rolls.

  9. Bake the Rolls:

  10. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between each roll for expansion.

  11. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the rolls.

  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

  13. Serve:

  14. Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly.

  15. Drizzle any remaining caramel sauce over the top.

  16. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious caramel cinnamon rolls!

These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat before serving, if desired.
